I think I've been bitten by the blogging bug.

It is really unusual for me to blog so much, as I normally don't have a lot to talk about. But here I am, at 'er again.

School *rolls eyes*
School started yesterday. It was an easy day with a quiz that I think I did decently on, and a 2 hour lab of presentations. Today I got back a physiology quiz and where I didn't do great, I exceeded my expectations. I got my stats final back, an A. I knew I owned that test. And I got back my English paper, which I got a B on. I was estactic about that too. The feedback was wonderful.
"This assignment is amazing, Stacy. When I read your pre-test, I never imagined you could write like this. There are a few weaknesses in presentation, but I am confident you can take care of these. This essay shows great potential, and I look forward to reading your next assignment."

Hrmm...Yoga?
Tonight I went to yoga at the Sackville gym. And to say I enjoyed it would be an understatement. Although there was more people than last week in Toronto (there was only 3 of us!) I still felt comfortable and chatted for a bit with the lady beside me. I can definitely say I will be back there on Thursday night. I'm also considering the noon Body Bar Challenge tomorrow at the Bedford club. Maybe it's my time to start getting healthy!

TAR
Tonight, is the season premier of The Amazing Race. And I'm terribly excited. Time to watch with Krystyna, Cameron, and John!

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

I'm neither in this case. I don't like these meme things. There is no one left to tag, but I'll do it anyways :)

Jetsetter? Maybe. Love it? Definitely.
I've been home from Toronto for two days, and already I miss it. Talking to Tawny I mentioned how cool it would be if I went up over the summer and then again for New Year's and she said I was going to have to work 24/7 to support my jetsetting livestyle. Perhaps that is correct, but it's true. Although I know that it's Tawny and Taylor's life I experience when up there - their friends and their house, I'm always welcomed and involved in everything. It seems as though people go out of their way to include me, and I have to say it makes me feel pretty special. Someone mentioned while I was there that a week is a long time for me to be there. I think back to my first summer when I was there for 2 weeks, my second summer when I was there for 3. Then I think about shorter trips like Labour Day weekend, consiting of 5 days. Maybe it was because I was there longer than I have been on my more recent trips, but I was a little upset when saying my goodbyes on friday. I'm already anticipating another trip up there.

I had more to write about, but I'm exhausted, I can't remember, and I have my stupid physiology lecture at 9 am which means I have to wake up at 630. Can you say disgusting??

Well, I'm home (very much against my will)

I had a wonderful trip. I'm not sure where the week went, but I was very reluctant to leave. Too tired to really blog. So I'll leave you with some of my favorite quotes from the trip.

At the dinner table Monday night:
"I felt pain after my first time...at Body Pump."

In the park outside Tawny's work on Tuesday:
"You look like a glasses ad, with your cell phone and the sun clips and the sun shinning down on you."

In the tattoo and piercing parlor on Tuesday afternoon:
"That was it?!"
"Oh yeah, she's one of the bleeders."

At Milestone's Tuesday afternoon:
"We're still deciding. I just watched her get pierced, so I don't have much of an appeitite."
"Your lips look juicy."

*this one is my personal favorite and I haven't let Tawny forget it :)*
In the car on the way to Blue Mountain on Thursday:
"Do I have muffin in my brafes?"

Waiting to get off the plane tonight:
"We have the door open, just be EXTREMELY careful as you're getting of the plane as there is a gap and a lot of ice."

Is it Friday yet??

To say that this week has sucked so far is an understatement. I cannot wait until Friday morning when I can leave.

Work was okay this week though, which is a bonus in ways.

I wrote a Stats midterm that I killed. I'm talking, I did incredibly well on it.

I'm very tired but I can't sleep because I have an assignment to do and a box to decorate. So exciting.

I just bought the Jack Johnson In Between Dreams CD and now I want the Curious George soundtrack. That man is a genius I tell you.

This post is so random.

Homework time.

A little bit leaves you wanting more.

I just woke up from a quick nap, and it left me wanting to give into the sweet sweet sleep of the night. However, there is studying to be done. And formula sheets to be made. For there is a Stats midterm tomorrow for me to get an A on. I can see it happening.

The Pee Thing
I spent all afternoon collecting samples of my pee and determining the specific gravity of it. The bottles were huge, however, we were supplied with a cup to transfer. Despite the disgusting task, it was a fun lab with jokes such as "pee parade" everytime we went to the bathroom to collect another sample. Other people in the bathrooms found it funny too instead of disgusting. AND the formal report isn't due until March 6th, so I have three whole weeks to do it. Pretty good seeing as how my Presentation is due the Monday after break. NOTE TO SELF: Get that done before Friday.

4 Sleeps.
And I will be making my way up to Toronto. To say I'm excited is a tad understated. I'm really looking forward to just relaxing and being lazy. And I've never been up there at this time of year so it's bound to be an adventure.

The transit system may suck, but i enjoy it more than I think.
When I started University three years ago, I hated the fact that I had to take the metro transit into school. The 80 takes 40 minutes from the terminal in Sackville, making my travel time about an hour from the time I leave my house when it's only 20-25 minutes in a car. I especially hated those mornings where I had to get up and leave with Dad as he left for the day to go into Dal. On those mornings I had to be up and ready to leave at 630. Putting me at school for about 720 (early bus), nearly 1.5 hours early for my first class (to make use of the time, I went to the gym those mornings before class). Last year I looked for every excuse NOT to take the bus, and the ride home at 9:00pm on Wednesday nights after lab were the worst. But this year, even with a 9:00am class requiring I leave the house by 745, and a lab until 5, I have grown to appreciate the bus. Yes, the system still sucks, but I can enjoy the perks that I had always taken advantage of. For those 40 minutes I'm sitting on the bus, I don't have to do anything. I can rest my head on the window and doze, I can listen to music, I can read (be it a school text or a book for my own enjoyment), or I can just stare out the window and do absolutely nothing. For those 40 minutes, I don't have to worry about anything and its more relaxing than I like to admit. Not to mention, the bus is more environment friendly. I used to get excited when I missed my bus and had to drive into school. However, now on days like today when I'm running late, I'm frantically hurrying to make it on time. I would rather take the bus than drive all the way into school. Maybe I'm just crazy, but my whole schedule is off if I miss my bus. It makes the day weird. I look forward to my 80 minutes of daily nothingness.

This would definitely be better if I was a guy.

In lab on Monday we're going to be doing an experiment on Body Fluids and Kidney Function. "The regulation of both composition and quantity of body fluids largely depends on the kidney's ability to selectively reabsorb or excrete various substances."

"Procedure 1. Immediately after the laboratory starts void as completely as possible noting the time. This is sample number 1. SAVE this SAMPLE. Urine collecting bottles are on the benches, use these to collect your samples. DO NOT USE THE BEAKERS."

Yup, that's right. On Monday I have to pee into a bottle. A bottle. Not a cup, or a jar. No, as if being female and taking a urine sample isn't hard enough, they're making us PEE INTO BOTTLES. I can see how this might be accomplished easily by a guy, but a girl?! How am I suppose to pee into a bottle??

Besides being from what I can understand IMPOSSIBLE, it's DISGUSTING. I can understand urine collection for medical purposes, even for drug testing. But this is ridiculous.

Maybe I can come down with Mono or Strep or something over the next two days and then be excused from the lab. But of course, I'd have to be better by Thursday because...

I'M GOING TO TORONTO ON FRIDAY!!

That's right folks, a week from today and I'll be back in the city I love! T DOT WHAT! Yeah, I said it. I'm looking forward to knitting, dancing, singing, movie watching, cooking, and perfecting my less than average poker skills. OH, and all day-all night pj-wearing marathon's.
And Licks. We cannot forget Licks. :)
